One-Act Play and Choral Reading - Auditorium
Details about lighting and sound are below. Prior to a group's performance, props and set pieces can be stored temporarily in the hallway near the green room. During other times, they should be stored in the south gym/student camp. Click on an image for a larger view.
Lighting: As the host school, we will provide minimal/basic lighting on the stage area, which means basic on/off lighting. However, the stage can be divided into sections with lights on in one area and lights off in another area. We will not provide stage properties.
Lighting System Specifications: Our lighting controller is an ETC Smartfade 24/96. It was installed in the summer of 2010. The lights are operated on the Strand dimmers that were re-used. There are some LED lights on the front bar that can provide color as well. Those lights are also controlled by the Smartfade console. There is a specifications pdf attachment below.
If you have the same lighting controller at your school you can record your lighting program on an SD memory card and bring it with you to contest. Let me know ahead of time if you plan on utilizing that feature.

Sound: If you use sound effects for your One-Act Play, bring a device to play your sound effect(s); such as, an iPod, CD player, laptop, etc. We have a headphone jack attachment that plugs into our amplifier and speaker system. So anything with a headphone jack will work. We don't have a CD player in the auditorium so you can't just bring a CD without the player. If you any other questions about our sound or lighting, please email me at [email protected].
